An unsuspecting family home has gone viral thanks to a rather unique underground “spaceship” feature.
The house, in Upper Arlington, Ohio, US, boasts five bedrooms and six bathrooms across 6,000sq ft – but it’s the outdoor feature that garnered attention.
Built in 1978, the home has been “extensively renovated”, including its “must see” pool.

Barely visible above ground – save for a few glass skylights in the floor – underneath the garden is an Austrian-designed saltwater pool.
The spa-like feature is tucked around the back of the house, with the skylights seen embedded into the garden flooring.
Beneath, is a futuristic-style pool, with encased white rounded walls and a view up to the sky.
Pictures show it lit up in various colours at night, including a bright green and dark blue.
One user likened it to a “spaceship” thanks to the quirky design, reports Luxury Property News.
Another person commented: “I love the pool! The skylights are lovely too. But from the patio above it’s giving Minecraft.”
Someone else described the house as like a “mullet – business in the front and party in the back”.
“The pool is incredible,” said another fan.
Another viewer joked: “That pool definitely belongs to a villain.”
“This is the only acceptable indoor pool design,” another person said.
Of the surprise feature, one person commented: “It’s very deceiving from the street.”
The rest of the home is less unusual, though still with luxury features.
Based on a private lot in the Upper Arlington Schools area, the pad has a gourmet kitchen, stunning living room with stone fireplace, a wine cellar, second full kitchen, and exercise area.
The first floor primary suite enjoys floor-to-ceiling windows, a custom wardrobe and a coffee bar.
Meanwhile outside, there is a three-car garage.
The property is currently available with Susie and George Pattison of Cutler Real Estate for $2,495,000.
