Also known as the island of San Clemente, the islet belongs to Marín municipality in Galicia, north-western Spain.
It’s about a 20-minute drive from the charming, historic city of Pontevedra.
It covers an area of about 3,000 sq m (32,292 sq ft).
Santo do Mar lies a stone’s throw from Praia do Santo Beach on the Spanish mainland.
At low tide, a sandy isthmus to the islet emerges.
The island is home to a handful of pine trees and a quaint, ruined chapel that used to attract pilgrims.
It’s believed to date to the first half of the 18th century, as reported by Luxury Property News.
There is a catch, however.
The island lies within the Galician Atlantic Islands Marine-Terrestrial National Park, which is a protected area.
This means the buyer must leave the land untouched, ruling out a dream home overlooking the beach.

The average price for a flat in the capital is £419,800, according to Zoopla.
