Fancy owning a piece of British history that won’t cost a bomb?
This air raid shelter could be yours for just £50,000.
But something about the layout has tickled prospective buyers.
Located in Kettering, Northampton, the shelter is a mere 200 square feet of open space.
And under “Floor Plan” on the listing website, are the words “No Floor Plan” in a rectangular box, which is actually an accurate representation of the home.
The agent has also written a rather bizarre note in the property’s description.
It reads: “Would make an ideal bungalow/flat for people with medical/mental health needs.”
It has also been used as a self-contained storage unit, which seems more fitting.
The place comes with a new roof and gutters, at least, as reported by Luxury Property News.
But it’s the unusual description and missing floor plan that has tickled possible buyers.
One quipped: “No floorplan, but the no floorplan sign is almost accurate.”
Another said: “I love the floorplan, that is art right there.”
One person joked: “Chain free.
“Unless you count the shackles on the walls.”
Another said: “Even as an air raid shelter, it’d be s*ite.
“It’s above ground and not made of any reinforced materials, as far as I can see.”
One added: “I understand why they stated it’s ideal for someone with physical needs due to the lack of stairs.
“The only mental health related thing I can think of is the extra sound proofing will benefit someone affected by/ sensitive to sound.”
