A Hollywood composer, who scored iconic music for blockbuster films such as Back to the Future and Forrest Gump, has put his house up for sale for a staggering £12.8million ($16.8million).
Alan Silvestri’s luxury, eight-bed home can be found in Los Angeles, California.
It is located in a completely private hillside setting in the affluent Carmel Highlands enclave.

The gated spread comes with a main house and three guesthouses, 10 bathrooms and two half-baths.
There is even a pickleball court.
The 74-year-old composer is known for his compositions in Back to the Future, Cast Away, Forrest Gump, Polar Express and A Christmas Carol.
The house was originally built in 1921, spanning over 13,000 sq ft.

Entry stairs lead to secure double doors and a fully private gated front courtyard, reports Luxury Property News.

While the home’s listing doesn’t mention Silvestri, the celebrity property site, Robb Report, states he bought the home in the late 1980s for $1.9 million with his wife Sandra.
They reportedly fell in love with the dreamy estate and spent the next decade restoring and renovating it while living on-site, raising their three children and launching some vineyards nearby.
Now, almost 16 years later, they are putting the fully transformed estate on the market.
