If you’ve ever wanted to ride out the end of the world in style, you will need seriously deep pockets to enter this exclusive, luxury doomsday bunker that’s set to open its doors in 2026.
With $20 million memberships limited to just 625 people, those who can afford it will get to enjoy fine dining, wellness activities, and even a swimming pool while the rest of humanity fights for their lives.
The rich will not need to worry about their physical needs should they suffer the effects of a fallout situation, as the bunker comes complete with “AI-powered medical care” as part of its aim to over unrivalled “protection and luxury”.

While the bunker is largely underground, it has built-in special effects to create the illusion of being on top of a cliff, Luxury Property News reports.

With a launch date of next summer, the bunker will be based in Virginia, US, the location of its creator company SAFE (Strategically Armoured & Fortified Environments).

The company’s founder and president, Al Corbi, said: “It’s the wealthiest state per capita. It’s ground zero for the finest demographic for something like this in the world.”

SAFE is already well-known in the bunker space and has already created a bunker complete with its own Formula 1 race track.

The founder believes said this bunker, dubbed “Aerie”, will be their greatest creation to date.

While the bunker is designed for the top one per cent, SAFE’s director of medical preparedness, Naomi Corbi, said there are different membership tiers available, the cheapest of which can be afforded by a “moderately successful CEO”.

The most expensive option, known as the “Asylum Membership”, is invite-only and the requirements to be eligible are still being fine-tuned by the creators of the $300 million bunker.

Al said: “Imagine you are one of the wealthiest and most powerful people in the world and then something unimaginable happens and you’re a regular guy, you have no place to go in the moment.

“Going to a hotel isn’t the same as going to a sanctuary that is waiting for you.”

Citing the benefits of the bunker in a natural disaster scenario, where the bunker would be used only temporarily, AI said that tragedies like the recent California wildfires would not affect those inside.

He added: “Wildfires could go over bunkers and everyone would be saved indefinitely.”

Naomi said the bunker is already proving to be a hit with potential users who “love” the idea and they have received “thousands” of applications for the limited spots.

However, it is worth noting that with such lavish amenities, it will be several years before the bunker is fully functional and next summer will see its “experience centre” open for the rich who want a taste of their post-apocalyptic lives ahead of time.
