Brits were left bemused after a rundown bedroom in a hotel was put on sale for £40,000.
Photos showed the diml-lit space with an old-fashioned four poster style bed, stained carpet and peeling wallpaper, and windows covered by blinds.
The 14x10ft room comes with an 8x3ft bathroom and has been described as an ideal opportunity for investors.

It is located inside a ‘three-star, independently run Edwardian manor house hotel’ in Preston, Lancs.
The future resident will be living near Preston Docks, Preston North End FC’s Deepdale stadium and Preston university.

But some people online have been left very confused by the listing, as reported by Luxury Property News.
One person said: “I’ve never seen a single room for sale before, is this normal?”

Someone else said: “I don’t know what this is. A room in a hotel?
“Do I sleep there?
“Do guests sleep there?
“Do I have to eat in the restaurant?
“Is there room service?”
While a third person added: “This is the first time I’ve seen somewhere that actively shuts all the natural light out.

“What on earth is behind those blinds?”
The bedroom is being marketed by Guildhall sales and lettings.
