Charlotte Church’s historic Welsh cottage has hit the market for £695,000 – complete with a secret music studio hidden in its exotic garden.
The four-bedroom home dates back to the mid-1600s and is believed to be one of the oldest properties in Barry’s Old Village.
Despite its modest exterior, the semi-detached cottage opens into a surprisingly spacious family home which the singer and her husband, musician Jonathan Powell, have described as a “real Tardis”.

The couple have blended the property’s centuries-old character with striking modern additions, as reported by Luxury Property News.
Inside, the first of three reception rooms boasts exposed beams, a fireplace and an original staircase.

Church and Powell said: “We love the spirit of the house; it feels alive and balanced, with everything in its right place.”
The couple are understood to have bought the cottage around 2024 after selling their six-bedroom mansion, The Spinney, in nearby Dinas Powys.
Church bought The Spinney for £1.3million following her split from former Wales rugby star Gavin Henson in 2010.
She extensively renovated the property and later married Powell there in 2017.
The mansion was reportedly sold for £2.1million in 2024.
Church later revealed the move to Barry had been partly motivated by a desire to live closer to her family.
The cottage is now on the market with Fine & Country, South Wales, for a guide price of £695,000.
