A disused building has gone up for auction with an incredible one-of-a-kind view, but it’s not for those sensitive to smell.
The quaint riverside village of Malpas, Cornwall, is known for its picturesque views – especially over the River Fal.
And now, the opportunity to own somewhere in the perfect viewing position is up for grabs.
However, you might want to pinch your nose.
The former public toilet block is being auctioned off for £30,000, plus fees, reports Luxury Property News.
Nestled amongst trees and other shrubbery, it can be found down a set of stairs off the main road, where lots of parking is available.
Inside the separate ladies and gents facilities, the toilets, urinals and sink/dryers are still plumbed in and there is a baby changing facility intact.
Although it’s been left disused for quite some time, it’s surprisingly in good condition, with only a little TLC – and a clean – needed.
While the site is currently overgrown, with the outside of the building looking like the inside of one of the toilets, there’s scope to turn it into something completely brand new.
Though, any future use would be subject to all necessary consents being obtainable.
The site has uninterrupted views of the scenic River Mal and the surrounding green hills.
It’s being sold as part of a scheme by the council to offload 170 disused lots in the area.
Described as a “rare opportunity” to own a piece of land with unbeatable views, the block is only a stone’s throw away from the village centre and the town of Truro.
Viewings can be booked online at set times and dates until 29 October 2024.
Bidding will go live on 31 October, with the auction taking place on 1 November with Clive Emson Auctioneers.
