A property likened to a “shed” has gone on the market in London for over half a million pounds.
The Hackney listing has gone viral on TikTok after users pointed out the tiny home squeezed between two buildings.
Located on Kenninghall Road, the one-bedroom flat can be seen located at the end of the driveway of another home, with a size more fitting of a car garage.
The neighbouring homes tower over it in comparison, reports Luxury Property News.
You would be forgiven for thinking the house actually for sale is the neighbouring home towering over it – but the floor plan shows otherwise.
The narrow flat starts with a shower room measuring 2.95m x 2.03m, before continuing on to a reception room/kitchen, measuring 7.96m x 3.44m.
Finally, there’s a bedroom measuring 4.11m x 3.61m.
The buyer will also have a private garden which, at 8.75m x 7.38m, is significantly larger than the space.
While the home is modern and decorated pleasantly, viewers online were stunned by its size after a video was shared of a person who had initially believed the listed home was the property next door.
One viewer commented: “As soon as I saw the picture, I knew it was the shed.”
“Stop it’s a portacabin,” another person said.
Someone else commented: “I’d get so embarrassed every time I invite someone over and they knock on the house and get re-directed to the small shed next door…”
“Like those cabins you used to have random lessons in at school,” another person added.
Another viewer commented: “Surely not.”
Another person called it “criminal” while someone else said their “jaw dropped”.
The property appears to have first been listed in October 2023 for £575,000, before being reduced the following month to £550,000.
In July, it was reduced a further £25,000 but still has had no takers.
