An urban explorer has gone viral sharing footage taken inside an abandoned home – where he found an estimated £100,000 worth of toys.
Daniel Sims found the property in Liverpool and was stunned to see masses of soft animals and children’s toys packed inside.
Estimating that “a good 10,000” were tucked in the unassuming house, he believes the collection would be worth six figures.
The 35-year-old shared the footage on TikTok, where it garnered 760,000 views.
Inside, the collection can be seen lining the area from floor-to-ceiling in what Daniel describes as a “hoarders” home.
“There was a vast amount of toys hidden in there,” the explorer, from Huddersfield, told Luxury Property News.
“There were thousands of them – I think a good 10,000.
“Factoring in the vintage items, [I think] the collection would be worth around the £100,000 mark.”
Known as Bearded Reality on YouTube, Daniel documented his foray through the crumbling home.
Starting downstairs, the toy collection is immediately evident, with colourful stuffed animals completely covering the rooms.
Some have labels on, while others look more worn.
Even the kitchen was crammed full of the stuffed animals, with characters from Disney, Monsters Inc and Elf on the Shelf visible.
In the bathroom, a sign reads ‘No food down toilet’, along with stacks of bags.
With the home in a general state of disarray, Daniel continued through to explore other jam-packed rooms completely covered in toys.
While some were displayed on shelves, the majority appear to have been crammed together and lined up haphazardly from floor-to-ceiling.
The footage received 29,000 likes on TikTok.
One person commented: “As a toy collector, it hurts to know that all of these are just gonna rot away into nothing. There’s bound to be some valuable and collectible ones in all of that!”
“Man, it’s a shame they have to be left there. It would be nice if the collection could be salvaged (if possible) and donated!” another user said.
Someone else wrote: “This was my dream when I was little.”
“As someone who loves collecting plushies, this hurts my soul,” said one viewer.
Another person added: “All those bears with no one to love them.”
It is unclear who the former owners were, nor why such a large collection was amassed.
Daniel said: “The property seems like it has not been inhabited in a long time as there was no fresh food, and no space except the space for the strange signs such as ‘Don’t put food down the toilet’ – which just added a layer to the mystery.
“It looked like it had been left for quite a few years.
“It is a truly bizarre place.”
