Ever fancied staying where your pint is brewed?

A quirky hotel in Germany is offering just that – with rooms inside giant beer barrels.

Beverland Resort in Ostbevern has 62 themed rooms and suites, but the most popular by far are the Beer Barrel rooms.

Each one comes with a huge barrel-turned-bed, complete with duvets, pillows and sheets, plus beer-themed décor including a side table made from crates and a matching wooden desk and chair.

The rooms also come with modern comforts such as a flatscreen TV, Wi-Fi, massage-jet showers, hair dryers, vanity mirrors and ironing supplies.

Prices start at just £103 (€120) per night for two people, as reported by Luxury Property News.

The hotel says: “You probably have never slept in a beer barrel – in our hotel that is possible.

“It is a real beer barrel from the 19th century, which was still in use until 1995.

“We have built in a bed for two people in the barrel.

“In addition there are two other beds in the room, so that up to four people can stay.

“The room was created in collaboration with the regional Pott’s Brewery from Oelde and contains many more beer-themed objects.”

And if sleeping inside a barrel isn’t your thing, Beverland Resort also has themed rooms including James Bond, Treehouse, Surfer, Cinema, King Ludwig and more.
