A studio flat which has been compared to a “cupboard” has gone on the market for £160,000 – and it’s NOT in London.
While the capital is known for its share of cramped properties, the tiny home is based in Brighton, East Sussex.
Described as having a “mezzanine” sleeping area – which appears to be a glorified bunk bed, with a ladder leading up to a bed area above a tiny lounge.

Based on the ground floor of a Regency building, it’s price may make more sense given its Location just “seconds” from the sea, reports Luxury Property News.
But space appears to be pretty limited inside, with the main room showing an “open plan” design, of a small kitchen leading to a tiny sofa, and above it the bed.
‘Upstairs’, it’s equally close quarters, with a sloping roof offering limited headspace unless lying down.
Despite its small size, the kitchen appears to cover all bases with a sink, oven, mini hob, fridge and storage space.
Cupboards by the fridge appear to be the only storage option for clothing.
The bathroom is in a separate area, with a shower and sink, and toilet not pictured.
The square footage of the flat is not shared in the listing.
Pictures of the listing were shared on social media, where one person likened it to a “large cupboard”.
Another user joked: “I love the fact that the link posts the Ofsted ratings of the surrounding schools of all ages for all your kids. Who must live in the kitchen cupboards.”
“Jesus, I thought that would at least be in London,” someone else commented.
Another viewer quipped: “I don’t know why you’re complaining. It’s not just a cupboard, you’ve also got a big shelf to sleep on.”
“So my initial reaction was: I don’t know why you’re complaining, everyone knows London prices are insane, people will pay that for a pied-à-terre. After looking at the listing: WTF, Brighton?!” said another shocked user.
The listing, held by Brand Vaughan, was first shared last month for £170,000, but has since been reduced by £10,000.
