A superyacht that hosted dinner parties with famous icons such as Jackie Onassis, Elizabeth Taylor and Winston Churchill has gone up for sale at £76.7m.

The boat, named Christina O, was originally built for service during World War II.

It has seen the Battle of the Atlantic and Normandy landings after being used as an anti-submarine frigate for the Canadian military.

But the vessel’s life quickly changed when Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis got his hands on it, reports Luxury Property News.

He allegedly bought the boat at scrap value, before spending £3m transforming it into a luxurious place for stars to be wined and dined while on the water.

On board, there’s a swimming pool, dance floor, cinema, seaplane and operating theatre; which attracted the likes of Elizabeth Taylor and Winston Churchill.

It had previously been made available to charter at an eye-watering $800,000 a week – but now, it’s looking for a new owner to set sail.

But you’ll need a spare £76.7m.

There’s 17 cabins on board, with capacity for 36 guests and 40 crew members.

Measuring an impressive 324ft in length and with a top speed of 19.5 knots, it’s something to be admired.

Its design is timeless, oozing luxury in every corner.

On the sundeck, there’s a jacuzzi and multiple al fresco dining areas; perfect for sipping champagne while enjoying the picturesque view of the ocean.

The lounges inside provide a speakeasy feel, with wooden walls and furnishings encompassing the space.

A touch of Hollywood’s golden age era can be found in pictures, artwork and other touches, such as an old record player.

The grand dining room is the ideal place to entertain star-studded guests, with a long table the centrepiece of the room.

Artwork and other photos of previous guests, such as Cary Grant and Grace Kelly, adorn the walls.

Also on board are multiple reading rooms, with one featuring a bust of Winston Churchill, a fully equipped gym and games room.

The bedrooms are cosy and provide a space for guests to unwind after a busy day of socialising.

In the bathrooms, simplicity is key with neutral toned walls and a walk-in shower.

At night, the boat lights up magically and chefs await to provide a culinary experience like no other.

Christina O, which is named after the Aristotle’s daughter, also boasts an elevator and comes with jet skis and inflatable boats to enjoy adrenaline pumping water activities.

Aside from travelling to exotic locations, it’s been the venue for weddings, such as Heidi Klum’s in 2019.

The yacht, which is allegedly the 45th largest in the world, is for sale with Northrop and Johnson.
