A bedsit in central London has gone on the market for a whopping £1,100 a month – but the tenant will be sleeping on a single bed placed just inches from the kitchen area.
The cramped accommodation seems to prove it’s all about location, location, location, with the steep price seemingly due to its prime location near Paddington Station.
However, some may appreciate the convenience, as you’ll barely have to venture out of bed to make your morning cuppa.
Inside, the tenant has a single bed placed on a narrow strip of worn carpet, next to which is the ‘kitchen’.
The space consists of a sink with storage, a fridge, and a small grill with a hob on top.
At the foot of the bed is a wardrobe, and a door leads to what appears to be a shared bathroom.
The humble room has a shower, toilet, basin and mirror, with a sign on the wall implying it is a communal space.
The listing, shared on OpenRent, describes it as a “delightful room” in a “great location”.
While the home itself is rather lacklustre, it will place the new tenant right in the thick of it in a prime spot in the capital.
As well as the station nearby, the bedsit is also close to Hyde Park and has other tourist hotspots within short walking distance, reports Luxury Property News.
The room, which has a maximum occupancy of one person, is available from this week (14 January) at a price of £1,105 per month with bills included.
The minimum tenancy period is one year, and the room allows students.
