A patch of land has hit the market for just £5,000… but there’s a catch.
The thin area is 0.6 miles long.
But it is just 0.05 acres – about a 30th of the size of a football pitch.

And the land is just a muddy footpath.
There is overgrown vegetation on both sides, too.
It cuts through an industrial estate, going behind the back of a warehouse.
The plot of land for sale is near Whitworth Road, St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, as reported by Luxury Property News.

Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers are hosting the sale of the area.
The guide price sits at £5,000 with online bidding closing on 11 December.
Potential buyers will need to book viewings during ‘daylight’ hours only.

Bidders should be warned that if they are successful, they are responsible for keeping the path clear.
According to the Government website, despite purchasing the land, it should still be available for public use.
A spokesperson for Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers said: “A freehold parcel of land consisting mainly of a footpath.

“Located on the Ridge West Industrial Estate.
“The site extends to approximately 0.02ha ( 0.05 Acres).
“The site can be found using the What3Words app.
“Interested applicants may view directly on site during daylight hours.”
