A converted 1950s grain barge described by its current owner as a “one-of-a-kind” bohemian “sanctuary for dreamers, artists and seekers” is up for sale at £1.15m.

The high ceilings are a particularly special feature – they reach up to 3.69m with light bouncing off the glittering chandeliers, as reported by Luxury Boat News.

The current owner, not named for privacy reasons, has lived on Wanderland for seven years and says it has been an “utterly transformative” experience.

“If you think you understand London, think again,” they said.

“Until you’ve experienced this magical city through the eyes and ears of the River Thames, you haven’t truly felt its spirit.

“My seven years aboard Wanderland have been utterly transformative.

“Living on the water – not just beside it – connects you to nature in a way that’s deeply intimate and grounding.

“Wanderland is no ordinary boat.

“It’s a living sculpture, lovingly crafted to foster a connection with the natural world.

“Onboard, you feel the rhythm of the tides, the dance of light and shadow, and the quiet pulse of the river’s life.

“At night, when the city hushes, the gentle rocking of the boat is like being cradled in a womb.

“It’s a sanctuary for dreamers, artists, and seekers—a place where inspiration flows as freely as the water beneath.

“Leaving Wanderland is like leaving a part of your soul behind.
