A mould-infested house in a state of disrepair, with the ceiling on the brink of collapse, has hit the property market for £575,000.
The four-bedroom home is described by agents as a “project not for the faint of heart” – and by the looks of the listing images, it’s not an exaggeration.
The property, located in Maidstone, Kent, was the site of a reconstruction project that was unexpectedly brought to a halt, leaving the property derelict and ripe for it to be reclaimed by mould.

At the front of the house, there are missing windows and doors, with canvas patches covering the gaps in the roof.
A rear view of the home shows waste and debris scattered around.

The site does contain a swimming pool, albeit one that is currently drained and damaged, as reported by Luxury Property News.
The first-floor lounge of the home has rubble on the floor, and the planks of the room above are visible due to the ceiling rotting.
Moving through the property, you can see the point where the home was left derelict, with the home being left mid-construction.

Despite this, the listing – held by Knight Edmonds – describes the home as a prime opportunity to be renovated and regenerated by a “serious investor equipped with the right skills and knowledge”.
Prospective buyers will need to come armed with cash as a mortgage is unobtainable, given the state of the building.
