A property believed to be the most haunted house in the US, or possibly the world, is up for sale – and it was once owned by the actor, Nicholas Cage.
The building – known as the LaLaurie Mansion – is located in New Orleans’ French Quarter and has a gruesome past.
It was famously owned by Dr Leonard Louis Nicolas LaLaurie and his wife, Madame Delphine LaLaurie, who tortured and murdered Black slaves in the early 1800s.

The killings – which took place in the building’s slave quarters, behind the main house – were so horrific that the home is now believed to be haunted.
Other fans may know the story from American Horror Story: Coven, which included a character based on Delphine.
The property has exchanged hands many times – including being owned by the actor, Nicholas Cage at one point, but he lost it to foreclosure.
It is currently on sale for $10.25m USD (approximately £8m) and is being marketed by Latter & Blum, reports Luxury Property News.
The 10, 284 sq ft property has eight bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, as well as an indoor art gallery and hidden speakeasy access through a bathroom door.
Its spiral staircase takes centre stage, as well as striking features such as a wine cellar that can house up to 2,000 bottles, glass chandeliers and high ceilings.
The house also has a classic New Orleans ‘gallery’ balcony with views of one of the most popular areas in the city.
There are guest living areas in the form of two flats, too.
The property is protected by a gate, with a private courtyard, and space to park your car.
