A luxury home just steps from the iconic Hollywood sign has gone up for sale for the first time in 37 years at £1.63m ($2.25m).

The property was last sold in June 1988 for £244,300 ($336,000) to sculptor and filmmaker Diana Walczak and her partner, director Jeff Kleiser.

Blending seamlessly with nature, the home was built among the bushes and brambles of the Hollywood Hills, offering a peaceful, out-of-city atmosphere.

The property’s design reflects the natural beauty of its hillside setting, featuring dark tiled floors, exposed wooden beams and staircase, oak furnishings, and soft sandy-toned walls.

It comes with three bedrooms and four bathrooms, vaulted ceilings, glass walls and warm wooden textures.

But the outside of the property is where the real star-quality sets in.

The view is straight out of a film with Griffith Park at your feet, the LA skyline on full display, and the Hollywood Sign looming so close, it’s like the home’s own personal landmark.

Tucked into the hillside, the property also comes with a jacuzzi spa – offering a secluded escape perfect for unwinding after sunset hikes or soaking in the stillness of the mornings.

A spacious balcony with lounge chairs and outdoor seating also creates an ideal setting for entertaining guests.

The home was also featured in Linda McCartney’s well-known photography book, The Sixties.
