Last of the Summer Wine fans are set to go batty after the classic sitcom’s shop and exhibition goes up for sale for a bargain price of £19,950.

The shop features a treasure trove of props, costumes and memories from the world’s longest running TV comedy.

The exhibition rooms and gift shop are located on the site of characters Nora Batty and Compo’s cottage homes.

It is based on Huddersfield Road, in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire – where Britain’s longest running sitcom was based.

It ran for 37 years from 1973 to 2010 on the BBC.

The show, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, followed the madcap adventures of Compo, Cleggy and Foggy around the Yorkshire Dales.

The sale is being handled by business agent Ernest Wilson and advertised on Rightmove.

The listing says the business has low overheads, is easy to run, as reported on Luxury Property News

The sales listing reads: “The only exhibition dedicated to the world’s longest-running TV comedy, Last of the Summer Wine.

“In addition to the shop premises, the business also has a wonderful website which includes an online gift shop and e-commerce facility with the opportunity to ship goods worldwide.

The business is for sale on a leasehold basis. There is a 10-year lease from 2018 with rent £650 per calendar month.

The current hours of opening are Monday 10.30am to 3pm, closed Tuesday and Thursday, Wednesday 10.30 to 3pm, and Friday to Sunday from 10.30am to 3pm.
