House hunters have been left amused after spotting a Scottish-themed property right next to a very proud England home.
The semi-detached three-bed, listed at £220,000 in Belgrave, Leicestershire, has been decked out in blue and white, the colours of Scotland’s Saltire flag.
But the owners of the house next door have draped their home in the England flag, prompting jokes of a “cross border rivalry” between the neighbours, as reported by Luxury Property News.

In the images of the Scottish home’s interior, prospective buyers can see a blue welcome mat, Saltire cushions on each sofa and lots of football memorabilia scattered throughout.
A bright blue laptop and blue documents folder can be spotted on a white study desk in one of the upstairs rooms.
But there is a nod to English football in the home.
In one of the images, a large framed football photograph and picture of Birmingham City FC’s logo can be seen.
Taylor Cole wrote in their description of the property: “Nestled in a delightful cul de sac, this most attractive semi-detached family home boasts spacious internal dimensions, offering a wealth of opportunities to create your perfect haven.
“Stepping inside, you are greeted by a warm and welcoming reception hallway, complete with stairs leading to the first-floor landing.

One house hunter shared the listing’s images on social media, joking: “’Why am I moving? I don’t get on with the neighbours. Like, really don’t get on with them.'”
The post received hundreds of likes and comments as many others were left tickled.
One person wrote: “I love the audacity of the agent to not crop next door out of the thumbnail.”
Someone else said: “OMG. I was laughing straight off seeing the house covered in England flags, but when we got to the interior shots with the wee Scottish bun cushions I straight-up had a coughing fit.”
Another person added: “With those Saltire cushions, I’d suggest a bit of cross-border rivalry.”
A fourth wrote: “Getting up on the roof to put a flag there is hardcore insanity.”
