A historic former railway station with a link to a secret royal romance has gone on the market for just over £800,000.
The old Eyarth Station has been transformed into a plush country home while still keeping many of its original railway features.
The station first opened in 1864 and was once a regular stop along the line.

Passenger services on the route ended in 1953 and the last goods train ran in 1962, when Eyarth Station finally closed.
Today the ticket office and station platform can still be seen, and the original station well, which once supplied water for the station master, has survived.

The unique property sits in Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd, near Ruthin in North Wales.
It is also said to have played a part in a secret royal romance.
Locals believe the former Prince of Wales, who later became King Edward VII, used the quiet station while having an affair with a local aristocrat.
He is said to have stepped off the train at Eyarth rather than the busier Ruthin station to avoid being spotted.

The property now boasts six bedrooms, seven bathrooms and five reception rooms.
It was successfully run as a guest house for decades, as reported by Luxury Property News.
Estate agents say the elegant country house offers spacious and versatile accommodation in an area famed for its natural beauty.

The home is set in secluded gardens with patios and a pond.
It also includes extensive parking, a paddock with stables, an established kitchen garden and two large paddocks.
The grounds enjoy far-reaching views west across wooded countryside.
Inside, the building still keeps key reminders of its railway past.

These include part of the original platform, the old ticket office and even the station well, all carefully preserved within the property.
The home is being marketed by estate agents Cavendish with a guide price of £820,000.
