But it has also undergone significant modernisation in recent years.

The property now benefits from solar panels with battery storage, as well as an electric vehicle charging point.

It also features a heat pump-heated saltwater swimming pool and a newly installed energy-efficient boiler.

Further upgrades include double glazing and insulation completed last year, helping the home achieve a strong EPC rating of C.

Agents say it is rare for a property of this age and scale to reach such a level of energy efficiency.

Inside, the home offers multiple reception rooms, spacious bedrooms and a mix of traditional and contemporary design.

The property sits within landscaped gardens and provides a mix of privacy and rural setting.

The James Bond connection is expected to attract strong interest from buyers.

Desmond Llewelyn played Q in 17 Bond films between 1963 and 1999, becoming one of the franchise’s most recognisable characters.

The home is currently listed for sale via estate agents Knight Frank.
