The suite where Anne Boleyn allegedly lived as the King’s “secret lover” is set to auction.
Tucked away off a high street near Windsor Castle is this impressive split-level maisonette – with a unique history.
The building, which dates back to the 16th century, is believed to have been the home to one of King Henry VIII’s wives, reports Luxury Property News.

Anne Boleyn reigned as the Queen of England from 1533 until 1536.
The King’s second wife, she was beheaded for treason, causing the start of the English Reformation and the inspiration for many books and films.
It’s alleged that she lived in Queen Anne’s Court, as it’s now known, while she was his “secret lover”, before becoming Marquess of Pembroke in preparation for their marriage, as shown on a plaque outside.
Now, one of the flats is up for auction with a guide price of £375,000.
Spanning two floors, and 1,195 sq ft, there are four bedrooms, an open-plan living and dining area, as well as a study.
Upon entering you are greeted by a long hallway, with the original restored white walls and wooden beams still present.
First up is the kitchen, which has been modernised with new amenities and design.
The study, while small, offers ample space for those regularly working from home – or to be used as a dressing room.
Throughout the property, the theme of pristine white walls and ceilings, contrasted by the dark wooden beams bring a clean and rustic feel to the flat.
The open-plan living and dining area is great for dinner parties and entertaining guests, with the “peek through” windows allowing the ultimate privacy from the bustling town of Windsor.
There’s also another toilet just before the stairs to the upper level.
The generous-sized bedrooms come with integrated wardrobes and dressing units, with the bathroom, while plain in design, perfect for families.
Outside, there’s a patio courtyard and other places of residence either side.
Quaint, and packed with historical features, it’s a home to be admired from all aspects.
In the 18th century, it’s believed the building was still used as an inn, under the names: The Hampshire Hog, The Hat or Plume of Feathers and Queen Anne’s Laundry.
The Grade II listed property will also be sold with a new 999 year lease from completion.
Located close to the high street, there’s many local shops and restaurants to be discovered.
And if you fancy, Windsor Castle and Alexandra Gardens are only a stone’s throw away.
To own this piece of Tudor history, there’s another week left of open viewings, until it’s set to auction at the end of June with a guide price of £375,000 with Auction House London.
