An entire island has gone on the market for a cool $72 million (£55 million) in the US – and it even comes with its very own Loch Ness-style ‘monster’.
Perched in the centre of Flathead Lake in Montana, Cromwell Island boasts a stunning 45,000sq ft home, as well as a guest house.
The pad and its surrounding land offer striking views, with the snow-capped Mission Mountains in the distance and the varying shades of blue in the water as the sun moves east to west.

The island has approximately 2,900 feet of shoreline, and was purchased by antique collector and explorer Robert M. Lee in the late 1980s, reports Luxury Property News.
He and his wife built the exterior shell of the home and a guest house, which they completed.
Lee died in 2016 before the interior of the main house was completed – meaning only the exterior of the home is complete.
The listing agent cites this as a positive, as it gives the buyer free rein to design the interior layout exactly the way they want it while living in the guest house.
There is one thing to be wary of though: the ‘water monster’ that lives in the lake’s depths.
According to legend, Flathead Lake has its very own Loch Ness, dubbed ‘Flessie’.
The myth is believed to date back over a hundred years to the Kutenai indigenous tribe.
More recently, people believe the ‘monster’ sighting to have been a buck swimming in pursuit of a doe, with ‘Flessie’ having deer antlers.
But over a century on, sightings are still being reported – so this could be the perfect home for a budding monster hunter.
The island – which also featured on Top Ten Real Estate Deals – is available with Bill McDavid of Hall & Hall.
