Ever fancied buying a whole island just for yourself but still being in close proximity to British home turf? Now’s your chance.

“It’s owned by a local Irishman, he owns it and he uses it for farming purposes,” Dominic Daly, the auctioneer who is selling the property told Luxury Property News.
“He has fresh water piped onto the island.
“There are some ruins on the island, which could be very useful.”
The island’s Location is also ideal for exploring.
Once you’re on the mainland, Ennis is just a 20-minute drive away.
By boat you can also get to Crovraghan Kildysart, in five minutes and Foynes in just 30 minutes.
Dominic also points out that the island is near Shannon Airport, which could be “very convenient”.
Shore Island has rich agricultural benefits, having been used for cattle to set up shop all year round.
The former ruins could also potentially be used for a special purpose once the correct planning permission is obtained.
The price is also a stark contrast to the Big Smoke, where fresh air and acres of land aren’t the easiest to come across unless you’ve got the cash to splash.
To give a comparison, a similar price – £735,000 – would get you a three-bedroom property in Muswell Hill, north London.
No ruins, no island.
If you’re in search of a new investment opportunity or would simply like to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, your new kingdom awaits.
