A collapsing property with holes in the ceiling has gone up for auction – at a whopping £450,000.
Buying a house in London is by no means cheap; with the UK House Price Index saying the average price in the capital is £518,000.
Now, though, a three-bedroom, end-of-terrace property has gone up for auction in the popular area of Palmers Green – for a guide price of £450,000, plus fees.

Though it looks like something straight out of a horror movie, reports Luxury Property News.
From the outside, worn and torn scaffolding encompasses the home, with an unstable panel of wood stopping the public from entering the site.
Stepping inside, it’s clear the abode is completely unliveable.
In the living room, there’s debris from the collapsed ceiling covering the floors, with a random door shoved in the corner.
The fireplace has dirt spilling out of it and the walls are stained with a brown hue.
While there are tools and renovation supplies on the floor, it’s unclear whether any work has taken place – or if they’ve been left behind.
The kitchen has been entirely gutted and will need a full revamp to make it fit for use.
Upstairs, the walls are breaking down, along with the floor, and there are signs of black mold creeping in around the windows.
The ceiling is non-existent, with only wooden panels from the framework visible.
The bathroom, however, is the scariest of them all.
With an unknown substance covering the toilet and bath, along with the window being partially boarded up, the room is inches from falling apart.
But fear not; this isn’t for someone to move into right away.
The house is actually being offered as an investment opportunity to knock down and convert into two three-bedroom flats.
Offered with planning permission – and the freehold – it’s located on a residential road close to local shops and amenities.
Transport links for the Piccadilly line are in close reach, with off-street parking, too.
According to the estate agents, Haringey Borough Council granted planning permission subject to “demolition of existing dwelling and erection of a two-storey building including two-storey side extension.
“This permission is granted subject to a section 106 legal agreement.”
And with both front and back gardens, it’s a steal – especially as other, similar homes on the road have gone for up to £720,000 in recent years.
A viewing will be taking place today (6 November) and on Friday 8 November, as well as Tuesday 12 November with Auction House London. (116 Norfolk Avenue, Palmers Green, London, N13 6AJ | Auction House London)
