The former Essex home of David Gilmour has hit the property market for £1,100,000.
The property is listed for sale with estate agent Savills, offering fans the chance to own a slice of rock history.
Gilmour joined legendary rock band Pink Floyd in 1967 shortly before the departure of founding member Syd Barrett.
As a member of Pink Floyd, he was inducted into the US Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996, and the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2005.
He bought Woodley, in Water Lane, Roydon, in the early 1970s – living there with his first wife, Ginger Gilmour, during the early years of the group’s meteoric rise.
Approached via a gravel driveway and sitting in grounds of 4.66 acres, today the five-bedroom property is in need of modernisation, reports Luxury Property News.

The ground floor includes three reception rooms, a kitchen/breakfast room, utility room, pantry and guest cloakroom.
Upstairs, the first floor is home to five bedrooms and a family bathroom.
The surrounding grounds are mainly laid to grass, with a lake at the far end extending to about an acre and even featuring its own island.

There are also several outbuildings, including garages, stables and a summer house – with one of the buildings believed to have been used as a recording studio during Gilmour’s time there.
Property agent David Bloomfield, director in the residential sales team at Savills in Loughton, said: “There are several articles documenting David Gilmour’s time at Woodley in the early 1970s.

“Set in wonderful grounds, it offers the ideal opportunity for a buyer to put their own stamp on a fine, historic home with a link to one of the UK’s pioneering rock bands.”
Woodley is on the market with Savills in Loughton – presenting a rare opportunity for buyers to strike a chord with a home that once played host to one of Britain’s greatest rock icons.
