You can now stay in ‘Cathy’s bedroom’ from Wuthering Heights for free – as fans clamour to holiday in the “capital of yearning”.

As Emerald Fennell’s take on the classic novel is set to hit cinemas this month, fans are given the chance to spend the night in ‘Thrushcross Grange’ in West Yorkshire – a holiday stay inspired by Brontë’s book.

Travellers are seeking out brooding landscapes like that shown in the film, and Airbnb reports searches among UK guests for stays in Haworth – the historic Yorkshire village where the Brontë sisters lived and wrote – have surged by over 200% this winter compared to last year.

The movie is an imagining of the great love story, centering on Cathy and Heathcliff – played by Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi in the 2026 adaptation – whose forbidden passion turns from romantic to intoxicating.

Inspired by the film, the bedroom “channels Cathy’s intensity”, offering guests a window into her world.

Meanwhile the dining room is also a mirror to the film’s world, with silver-toned finery for guests to enjoy opulent Yorkshire dishes.

Beyond the home, couples can “fall in love again and again” a la Charli XCX’s single, enjoying horseriding across the countryside, indulgent afternoon teas, and an intimate listening experience of the soundtrack.

The stay will be available on three separate occasions for up to two guests across multiple days between 27 February and 4 March – all free of charge – an dincludes a curated itinerary inspired by the film.

It comes as the film’s impending release has driven a spike in searches for West Yorkshire Valentine’s getaways – up 67% among Gen Z travellers and 58% globally, according to research by Airbnb.

Fans can request the stay from Friday 20 February online at airbnb.com/WutheringHeightsMovie, with bookings on a “first come first served” basis, with travel not included.
