A luxurious house in Hollywood belonging to the famous Stahl family has hit the market for the first time in 65 years.
And it comes with an impressive history. The home dates back to 1958, when it was commissioned by the Arts and Architecture magazine.
It was part of a series of Case Study properties that were built as an experimental solution to the post-war housing boom.

And not long after, it was snapped by the C.H. “Buck” Stahl, who was a painter, graphic designer and professional football player, reports Luxury Property News.

It was made famous by photographer Julius Shulman, who pictured two women lounging in the home, as well as featuring in television shows and films such as Galaxy Quest, Columbo and Nurse Betty.
The Stahl House – or Case Study House #22 – is located in the heart of Hollywood Hills; just a mile away from Sunset Strip.
It boasts 270-degree views of Los Angeles and sprawls across 2,200 sq ft.
Inside, the design is modern and simple.

Dark brown tones contrast against beige walls, ceilings and flooring –oozing a sense of luxury.
In the kitchen, a plaque is proudly positioned to mark its title in history, crowning it a historic-cultural monument.
Glass walls adorn the place from top-to-bottom, allowing natural sunlight to flow through and further expand the open-plan living space.
A central fireplace in the living room is great for entertaining guests on a cold evening.

And access to outside via sliding doors brings focus onto the expansive swimming pool.
Then, the money shot, the view of the city’s twinkling lights.
Pierre Koenig, who crafted the home, made sure it was one-of-a-kind; including frames of the Hollywood Sign from the bathroom.
Accessed via a gated drive, privacy and security is at the forefront of its design.

And with neighbours including Leonardo DiCaprio, Kenau Reeves, Halle Berry and Taylor Swift, it’s a certain showstopper.
The current owners have offered public tours since 2007 – but now, for the first time in 65 years, it’s on the market for a cool $25m (USD) (£18.6m).
The listing, which features on Top 10 Real Estates, is held by William Baker of the Agency Beverly Hills.
